Anne and Paul

Pennington Bay, Kangaroo Island, SA

Anne and Paul live in Sydney, Australia. Since our beloved Daisy left us, our 'ménage à trois' is now completed by Coco, an elderly but sprightly Tonkinese rescue cat, who has been with us since 2017, and thinks she is in heaven as long as she gets attention when she wants it!  She is very demanding, and very noisy.  Quite a personality!

Anne has lived in the Northern Beaches area of Sydney all her life. Paul originates from Northern Ireland, lived for 5 years in Harrogate, Yorkshire, and then emigrated to New Zealand. He moved to Sydney in 2007.

Most of our excitement over the past few years has been based around Anne's interest in sketching, while Paul has replaced his singing with photography. These activities are combined under the heading of CREATIVE.

One of Anne's main interests these days hasn't yet made it to the pages of this web site, and that is her learning French.  To boost her progress she has recently made the jump from WEA to Alliance Française.  Maybe some day we'll have to create a French language section on our site!

Partly in association with Anne's sketching, we have had quite an upsurge in overseas travel, including several trips to Europe. Our TRAVEL reports are sub-divided into Australia/New Zealand and International.  There is an underlying definition of travel as involving at least one night's stay away from home.  Day trips are found under Creative.  Of course, with the Covid-19 pandemic in full throttle, there hasn't been any travel, local or overseas, of late.

The third main section is entitled SERIOUS. It contains our numerous Letters to the Editor; a section about what the State Government is doing to destroy our suburb, starting with the Northern Beaches Hospital; and thirdly some delicious quotes under the heading of Words of Wisdom.

In case you don't have the time or inclination at the moment to wade through all of that, here's a sample of some of our favourite photos to whet your appetite.

Hopefully you will find navigation around the site quite intuitive.  You can use the Menu bar or the "breadcrumb", and some pages (like this one) have image links or a button at the bottom.  If you get really lost, the SmugMug/Anne and Paul logo in the top left corner of most pages will always take you back to the Home page.  I have chosen to give prominent acknowledgment to SmugMug in gratitude for their absolutely magnificent support Heroes, without whom this web site would not exist.

If you're using a tablet, you'll probably find that Landscape orientation gives you a better experience than Portrait.

We hope you will find our site both interesting and enjoyable.  For any feedback or problems, don't hesitate to use the Contact link in the Menu.
